As curator of book stacks and reader services, Cornwall is no stranger to the sheepishness of patrons in the face of a longoverdue book. On April 19, 1955, she married Joseph Arthur Streitz in Sentinel Butte, where they lived for many years. She later moved to Casper and had spent the last 13 years in Bullhead City, Ariz.

She enjoyed spending time with her family and was known for her caring ways and sense of humor. Survivors include her former husband of Dickinson; three sons, Tracy Joe of Williston, N.D., Timothy P. David Geissler. Susan Glover Godlewski, the library's curator of rare books, said "I've never had a book of this importance and value come back." For a few short weeks, the book was Geissler's most valuable possession, she said a little sadly Tuesday from her home in Exeter, N.H. Scrimping to make car and mortgage payments, with an 11- month-old baby and another on the way, Geissler, 25, found herself thinking about the old book she had inherited from her Greataunt Hester Hastings. Hester was one of four childless offspring of William T. Hastings, a Brown University professor.

Because she had been a science major, Geissler got "On the Origin of Species," which was inscribed with William Hastings' name as well as a faded book plate from the Boston Public Library. Two weeks ago, she stopped by the Portsmouth Book Shop to get the book appraised. The store owner told her two things: The book is very rare, and it appeared to have been stolen from the library. She gave to Special Olympics, Veterans of Foreign Wars, St. Jude's Children's Hospital and Feed the Children. She enjoyed her dog and best friend, Forrest; and was loyal, courageous and a joy to have as a daughter, sister and friend. She graduated from Emery, Utah, High School in 2000 and was a student at the College of Eastern Utah. She loved doing volunteer work and spent many hours maintaining trails in Wyoming and working as a tutor with the Emery County School District. She loved life and all it had to offer. Survivors include her parents and a sister, Jennifer, all of Orangeville, Utah; grandparents, Gene Pruett of Byron, Carolyn Pruett of Price and Joe and Sue Massey of Green River; and greatgrandparents Burl Richards and Florence Massey. was the price $61 which Geissler's great-great-uncle probably paid when he bought it.

Darwin's classic text. which introduced his theory of evolution, revolutionized 19th-century thought when it was published in 1859. In 14 chapters, Darwin he argued that all species are in a constant state of slow change and engaged in a struggle to survive.

She started school in Douglas and continued in Casper, when the family moved there, and later in Sheridan, where she graduated from high school. On July 27. 1928, she married Ivan Charles Dickinson in Hardin. Mont. In addition to various ranches in the area, the couple owned and operated the Wyoming Electric Store in Sheridan.

During World War Il. the sale of appliances was limited and the family returned to ranching near Big Horn. They moved back to Casper, where she ran the cosmetic counter of Sunrise Shopping Center. Over the years, the couple ran the Skelly Car Wash and Blue Spruce Motel and. for about 10 years.

had a custom hay business until her husband's death in 1975. She then lived in Lander for a time, in Oregon for three years. and then back to Lander. She was an expert seamstress and accomplished artist and was a member of the LDS Church. book was bittersweet.

She added, though, that she and her husband decided to return it to the library soon after they discovered its value. Geissler's gesture was cheered by Mayor Thomas Menino, who last year launched a public information campaign encouraging library patrons to return overdue books. The campaign emphasized that the maximum late fee is $1.25. Even that is negotiable. When he was informed of the return of "On the Origin of Species," Menino offered to waive the fee.

1915, in Leipzig, Germany, the daughter of Josef and Maria (Seliger) Reinisch. The family immigrated to the United States in 1927 to live in New York. She graduated from high school and business school in New York City. She worked as a bookkeeper for an architectural firm until returning to Germany in 1937. She worked as a in Leipzig.

In 1947, she taught German to children of the American armed forces in Bremerhaven, West Germany, until returning to the United States in 1951, when she came to Eaton's Ranch near Sheridan. She was a bookkeeper at Eaton's until 1954, when she moved to Sheridan and worked as a at N.A. Nelson Construction until 1960. On July 29, 1958, she married Albert Gunter in Sheridan. They lived in Lander and Gillette and returned to Sheridan in 1967.

She worked as a bookkeeper for Panetta Brothers until 1977. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Daughters of the Nile and Does Drove No. 127. She enjoyed reading, travel and animals. Survivors include a stepdaughter, Jean Richards of Denver; a brother, Stephen Moser of Rexburg, Idaho; two step grandchildren; a step grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.

He was a member of the Teamster Union in high standings. He then worked for the city of Douglas for 12 years. He enjoyed fishing and dancing at Esterbrook and loved sports and watching children and his grandchildren participate. Survivors include eight children.
