As my last few weeks of undergrad are coming to a close, they have also been some of the busiest few weeks of my life! Last Tuesday, I started the week off with tabling for my group’s Social Action Project for my capstone class to complete my Leadership Studies minor. We based our project around Academic Accommodation Awareness at WVU. We presented our final presentation today and managed to create and distribute a successful survey that will help the Office of Accessibility Services better serve its’ students and the WVU student body! That same evening, we also attended an Etiquette Dinner at Hotel Morgan. Next, I had the privilege of being inducted into the 168 society, an honor society for those who have completed the curriculum for Project 168, which is a co-curricular program that recognizes and provides credentials for extra-curricular activities during your time at WVU. I then followed that with working the 8th Annual Spring Undergraduate Research Symposium through the WVU Office of Undergraduate Research. This was my 6th and final symposium that I have worked after being a Teaching Assistant and running the social media for the office for the past three years. Sunday, I attended Lavender Graduation hosted by the LGBTQ+ Center for Queer and Ally Students. This was a beautiful event that I was so grateful to attend. That same evening, I took my graduation photos, something I have been looking forward to for so long. More pics to come very soon! 💛💙Yesterday, I attended the Faculty and Staff Awards Recognition and Reception as they honored my late mentor, Dr. Travis Stimeling, with the renaming of the Mentoring Undergraduates in Research Award in their honor. Not only was Dr. Stimeling a recipient of this award, but there was no one who embodied what this award means more than them. Lastly, this evening, I attended WVU’s TRIO/Student Support Services Graduation Banquet. Being a part of their program has been invaluable to me. I will forever be grateful for everything they did to support me. I am exhausted but SO grateful! Now it’s time to finish up finals and finally graduate!

I am so excited to officially announce that I will be attending The Ohio State University to get my masters in Higher Education and Student Affairs in the fall! I have also accepted a Graduate Assistantship as an Assistant Hall Director with Housing and Residence Education.I'm so incredibly grateful for every person that's helped me through this process, from recommendation letters to chatting about my options, it's all meant so much to me. Coming into undergrad, I never saw this as a possibility for myself, so to say I am extremely grateful for this opportunity is an understatement.See you in August, Columbus!
