Requirements

Rocksteady is looking for a Lead Rendering Programmer to join our dedicated and collaborative team to work on our upcoming AAA title Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League.

The role involves leading, supporting and providing technical guidance to our team of experienced rendering programmers. Working closely with the Rendering Director and other tech leads, you'll help to ensure the team delivers the systems needed to create the highest quality game experience for our players in line with the artistic vision of our Art Director.

Your New Role...

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Senior Physics Programmer.

You will be joining the Physics Code Team, where you will be creating and maintaining physics based systems and gameplay, as well as supporting teams across Rocksteady as we ship Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League and everything beyond.

Your Role Accountabilities...

  • Ownership of a wide variety of physically simulated features such as destruction, vehicles, character and cloth
  • Empowering team members from all other disciplines to make optimal use of third-party engines such as Nvidia PhysX as well as internally developed technology
  • Delivering features optimally and within schedule to appropriate quality levels
  • Proactively anticipating and identifying requirements, and developing solutions for technical and workflow issues
  • Research and development into current and next gen technologies to push the limits of game development in current and future projects

  • Guiding and mentoring more junior physics programmers in the team

Qualifications & Experience...

Job Summary:

Overall Purpose of the Role
At *** , we are seeking a qualified Senior Finance Analyst to join our FP&A team and drive bottom line growth.

As part of the FP&A team, you will ensure that all planning cycles (close, Annual Operating Plan, forecast, 5YP) for Direct To Consumer (DTC) Retail is always accurate, timely and well communicated to all stakeholders and are correctly reflected across all systems (COGNOS, ERC, EDP).

Areas of Responsibility

  • Produce and maintain planning models for all planning cycles (close, AOP, forecast, 5YP), ensuring consolidation and Roll Up, preparing deliverables
  • Prepare exec summaries and presentations highlighting key variances, risks and opportunities
  • Responsible for detailed and relevant variance analysis across all business channels including quarterly deliverables to both Global DTC Retail and EMEA ***
  • Plan & track cost base, working closely with budget holders to monitor cost base and challenge them to identify cost efficiencies. This will be across operating cost lines & overheads within the remit of the role
  • Responsible for *** & Other Marketplaces P&Ls, supporting the marketplaces team on longer term strategy in this non-vertical business model
  • Support Finance Manager and Senior Finance Manager in delivering CAR's (Capital Authorisation Requests)
  • Support transition and implementation of new planning & reporting systems (e.g. move from ERC to EDP)

  • Work with the Art director to establish UI art direction, brand and style guides - maintaining a consistent style throughout the project

The Role

The Production HRBP is a unique role working to support *** Original Productions across our Series, Features, and Non-Fiction slates in EMEA. Working with on set Talent the role of the Production HR team is to provide thought partnership to production leadership (Directors, Line Producer, UPM, HODs, Showrunners) to bring the most respectful production experience to our writers, cast, crew, and post teams working on *** productions across EMEA. We support throughout the lifecycle of production from greenlight to launch and everything in *** ween.

The ideal candidate will be flexible, and focused, with a 'can-do' attitude and the ability to thrive in a nontraditional and fast-paced environment. This role doesn't come with a manual and requires a lot of strong judgment and decision making as well as the ability to build credible relationships quickly. Reporting to the HR Director - Studio, EMEA this role will be based in London with regular visits to productions within the UK and further afield where necessary.

The Production HRBP will work closely with internal teams such as Content, Production, Safety, Security, Employment Legal, Production Finance, and Business Affairs to provide support to production stakeholders that include executive producers, line producers, heads of department, cast, and crew.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide thought partnership and coaching to on-set Leadership and Talent.
  • Facilitate in-person training sessions for production leadership, cast, and crew.
  • Provide guidance and coaching around questions related to employment; including benefits, payroll, recruitment, onboarding, policies, compliance
  • Work closely with cross-functional partners to provide guidance and recommendations around labour standards.
  • Partner with productions and internal executives (Labor Relations & Employment Legal) to manage ER-related issues that may arise on set - including performance, discrimination, and harassment.
  • Work closely with Labour Relations on union related matters; including grievances and terminations
  • Support internal Production teams seeking ways to create operational excellence, coaching talent and creating training solutions for our titles
  • Lead on Production HR related projects and partner with internal groups on cross-functional projects, designed to utilise technology, sync practices across teams and maximize efficiency
  • Embody our culture through behavior and interactions
  • Invite and promote constructive and ongoing feedback

Requirements:

  • Experience of working in a HR Manager/ senior Advisor level role in, or around the Production environment either within a Studio, broadcaster or the entertainment industry
  • Experience with developing and delivering training programmes
  • Experience of dealing with employee relations issues
  • A collaborative style with the ability to i *** uence others into action and to think creatively about solutions
  • Ability to provide ad *** and guidance without needing to lean on policy and procedure.

ABOUT THE ROLE

You will work across our weekly print titles B est and Inside Soap , editing copy to a high standard and making sure all content is presented in a style and tone fitting the relevant brand. You will also assist the deputy chief sub and chief sub in overseeing the production process of all pages, from copy stage through to sending pages to press.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sub-editing and fitting layouts for all pages of B est and Inside Soap magazine brands.
  • Meticulously check facts and details, and be relentless in the pursuit of obtaining accurate information
  • Rewrite copy where necessary, improving the flow, questioning what's missing or seems incorrect and filling in the 'gaps' to improve clarity for the reader
  • Composing compelling display copy in keeping with house styles - including snappy captions that fit the tone of each magazine brand.
  • Subbing any additional editorial or commercial content that arises during the production process.
  • Ensuring that pages meet each brands' high standards in terms of tone and accuracy
  • Flagging issues to the chief sub-editor regarding copy or layouts

Overall purpose of the role

  • The management of the EMEA Payrolls across a number of lines of business within *** , through the leadership of the EMEA Time and Payroll team and management of diverse stakeholders across the businesses.

  • Primary lead for payroll review project supporting business change through implementation of best practice models/system solutions for 24+ countries across EMEA.

  • Direct line management, core leadership inclusive of people development of multiple payroll team members.

Core Responsibilities

  • Support EMEA Payrolls from a centralised Time & Payroll (T&P) HUB
  • Ensure Payroll Processing performed by the Payroll vendor meet or exceed the established Payroll SLA, controls and compliance standards
  • Manage and develop direct reports to support succession planning and payroll operations
  • Act as senior escalation point on all *** EMEA payroll ser *** issues and support resolution with vendor as well as timely resolution of payroll related queries from employees and legal entity stakeholders
  • Ensure employees receive accurate remuneration on the published pay dates, thereby ensuring that the Company meets its contractual obligations
  • Coordinate and carefully maintain relationships *** ween third party payroll providers and *** internal partners to ensure timely and accurate payroll process
  • Approve monthly, quarterly, annual and other periodicity reports to the management of the Company, local authorities and other recipients
  • To resolve all assigned payroll related queries from employees and legal entity stakeholders in a professional and timely manner or escalate where appropriate

  • Support defining local technical and functional requirements as required
  • Facilitate payroll involvement with global and local initiatives when appropriate
  • Strategic support for ongoing operations
  • Support resolution for supplier ser *** failures
  • Share best practices/processes/systems across countries

Implementation Lead (Wider EMEA Specific)

  • Act as the primary vendor contact to support payroll governance
  • Establish a regional strategy for best practice supplier governance methodology
  • Implement standardised procedural and legal frameworks across EMEA region
  • Identify and manage appropriate relationships with key internal and external stakeholders and authorities/bodies for the benefit of the business
  • Provide ad *** and direction regarding payroll process, compliance, and best practice/processes
  • Facilitate collaboration *** ween local payroll teams and other global functional teams to implement new programs/initiatives, resolve issues, share solutions

Experience requirements

  • Payroll management qualification
  • Significant related experience, ideally leading a regional payroll team for a large multi-national employer
  • Strong knowledge of payroll practices, regulations and taxes across a broad spectrum of countries within EMEA
  • Ability to work independently, act with discretion and privy to confidential information
  • Demonstrable interest/knowledge of information systems
  • Experience of retail business, from a payroll perspective is desirable
  • Ability to drive transformational change and lead change management
  • Proven experience of reviewing and developing payroll procedures and policies
  • Experience of dealing with expenses and benefits and has a good working knowledge of employee taxes
