  • All right, it’s almost time to get out on the water. Now let’s do a quick review, a brush-up, of what we learned in this unit before going on and taking the quiz. You need to know which line to cast off if the wind is blowing your boat toward the dock. Know what a stand-on vessel and a give-way vessel is, and know the role of both. Then there’s meeting and overtaking situations. Make sure you know what to do in all of them. And at night, you’ve got red lights, green lights, white lights—know what they mean and what to do when you’re approaching somebody with them or being approached. Remember, when you’re out on the water, you want to be following the rules to keep yourself and everyone else safe. All right, good luck on that quiz. We’ll see you in the next unit.
